MUSIC's "NEW BLOOD"
Had I ways to forget
And Feelings to change
I would have found the strength
To moan no more.

… I cannot compromise; my performance is a true
expression of my feelings; otherwise I feel I delude myself.
I am not satisfied with life as I understand it.
Occasionally I need to muffle my senses and live on running the risk of being
branded as a fool. Little do I care if others call me a moron or idiot;
besides, they have called me names before. People urge me to “wake up”. I
do not understand what they mean by that. The fact that I blunt my senses
against life as is does not mean that I am not aware of the overabundant
plainness and ugliness in life, nor that I cower before them. I would rather
look like an idiot to those who compromise with plainness than become just
like them.
I do not think I can change; this is what I am, unless my
soul dies out. But a man’s soul is immortal, even for those people who have
lost it in the maze of confusion.
My entire life spins around that lyre. I can do without
Maria, Sophia, Georgia; I can do without a woman. Naturally, I am not made of
stone; should these women leave me I will cry but ultimately seek comfort in
my lyre – the love of my life. For me the lyre is the only depository of my
inner most feelings.
